If he's at Fieldstone Academy, the answer is
this:
1. Catching up in school
We specialize in academic
recovery. Our intense, personalized, fast-paced system allows young men to catch
up in their schooling at an incredible rate. If your son has been failing
classes and is falling behind, we can get him back on track so he can
return to school with his friends in the fall. Or he will also have an
opportunity to stay at Fieldstone for the school year.
2. Learning to succeed
The reason most of our students
come to us is not because they are unintelligent. Usually they are bright young men
who simply do not fit the system they are currently enrolled in. We work to find
where their challenges are and teach them to overcome them so they can continue
to succeed academically even after they leave us for college or their old
school. This means that over the summer your son can not only get some work
done, but become a better student for it!
3. Working on a full
ranch
When they are not in classes, our
students help a myriad of animals and livestock on our ranch. They will get the
chance to care for horses, cows, pigs, chickens, etc. in a fun and exciting
environment with our experienced staff members. There is no better environment
for young men to learn work ethic and responsibility than on a ranch!
4. Learning fitness
As part of their education, our
students will learn weight training in our full commercial gym. They will learn
better exercise techniques and will also learn about the benefits of an active
lifestyle. The more active they are outside the classroom, the better they are
inside of it!
5. Earning a $5,000 scholarship
Students who successfully
complete our summer quarters will be eligible to receive up to a $5,000
scholarship for the following school year's tuition at Fieldstone Academy. This scholarship
opportunity comes at the
insistence of our staff! We see students come and go every summer, and after
creating those relationships and trust, we would like to have them stay! Our
summer students are our first priority when awarding scholarships. Please
