What
is Fieldstone?
Fieldstone Academy is a
boarding school that, unlike most schools, will take students who need extra
help in the classroom.
Most boarding schools are
not unlike colleges in that a student must have very good to excellent grades in
order to enroll. That means that any student who has either fallen behind or who
has a low GPA is going to have an extremely hard time getting into a traditional
boarding school.
At Fieldstone, we excel at
working with students who are in this exact situation...
How much
help?
We have students who come
to us behind in school by a year or even more.
Most have low or very low
GPAs even though they are very bright and capable individuals. Most can be
described as extremely underachieving in their current situation, but with great
potential.
We also see students who
are bored in classes, who have graduated from behavioral programs or wilderness
programs, and who simply need a better place to go to school than their home
school district.

What Else?
We are
an excellent option when considering a
transition from a program or therapeutic
setting. Those students who have
successfully completed a program often need
help catching up to their grade level.
Often
these same students are also better off
staying away from those friends and
influences back home, and instead stay and
graduate with us.
We
enroll students at all times of year and
without a minimum period of stay. We work to
make our system fit the student and family,
instead of excluding students who don't fit
our schedule.
